ECV enables the monitoring station to contact additional people to confirm your alarm thus preventing false alarms as in the case of out-of-town guests or cleaning service at the house.
In order to work together to prevent false alarms, your central monitoring station will have your system on a seven-day test. This will allow you to familiarise yourself with your newly-installed alarm system thus preventing false dispatches.

Yes, you are. Refer to your owner’s manual to ensure good working order. Request repairs if not working properly. Notify the central monitoring station before testing your system.

Yes, a backup battery will maintain your alarm protection for several hours. Should a battery be low, a low-battery signal will be transmitted to your central monitoring station and you will be notified.
The central monitoring station gets the signal directly. Upon verification and assessment, the dispatcher will request your password and ask some standard questions. Should you not answer the dispatcher’s call, emergency procedure will take effect and your contact persons will be reached.
If it is a false alarm, do not attempt to call the central station. In doing so, you may block your line and we will not able to reach you to verify that it is indeed a false alarm.
